You might have heard of the Costa Coffee Card, but did you know you can use other people's receipts to earn yourself free coffee? All you need to do is pick up a card in store and register it online, or download the app, when you do so you'll get 100 points free (that's worth £1 already), and you can get points every time you buy something from Costa, earning 5 points per £1 spent.

BUT the trick is, that when someone else buys something from Costa and doesn't use their card the receipt will say 'You could have earned 50 points with your Costa Card' at the bottom. You can take a receipt like this to the cashier and get the points they missed out on loaded onto your card.

People are always leaving receipts around Costa, so if you pick some up every time you go you'll be earning a free drink in no time.

We've worked it out that you'd only need receipts adding up to a £9 spend to get a free Primo Espresso after the 100 bonus points for signing up, receipts for £15 for a free cup of tea, or receipts for £19 for a free Primo Americano.
