What was Flo Rida and T-Pain’s ‘Low’ really about? There’s more to this song than we realised…
This will change the way you listen to Low forever...
You might not believe it, but Low is now over 10 years old. If you don’t remember it, it was the first single from Florida rapper Flo Rida (geddit), featuring T-Pain with his legendary chorus about various types of trousers, shoes and getting low.
Well, after all this time, people have only just realised something shocking, and it will change the way you listen to Low forever:
The girl Flo Rida sings about in Low was wearing apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur, baggy sweatpants, AND reeboks with the straps all at the same time so we must conclude that she was, in fact, a centaur. In this essay I will— Splenda Pappy (@caroline_oreo) March 26, 2018
Think about it, how could ‘shawty get low’ wearing all those layers of clothes and shoes – the answer: she was a centaur.
no wonder the whole club was looking at her...— Rachel Coulson (@racheyco) March 26, 2018
Frenzied debate followed on Twitter, with people trying to refute @caroline_oreo’s claim, but her conclusion is flawless...
Is it possible that Mr Rida simply referred to her footwear in general terms initially as the 'boots with the fur' then again specifically by brand and styling? Not sure a Centaur has the opposable grip to 'work that pole'— Paul Senter (@PADSenter) March 26, 2018
Reebok doesn't make boots.— (((jobetta))) (@jobetta) March 27, 2018
For some reason I always assumed there were two different girls, but upon re-reading the lyrics, Flo Rida never gives any indication of this.— ptrevre (@ptrevre) March 26, 2018
No comment from either of the original artists yet, but I’m certain that they wrote this song with centaurs in mind, maybe one of the ones in Harry Potter?
