This girl's attempt at scoring a date with her Uber driver is heroic

A lot of people would never have the guts to just go for it if they like someone. But sometimes you just have to, what have you got to lose, especially if you probably will never see them again otherwise.

But Kelli Amirah did, when she tried to score a date with her Uber driver one Saturday night.

From Washington, DC, Kelli had ordered the Uber to take her and friends to a party, when she was taken aback by her chauffeur who she described as "fine af".

She tweeted the story to her twitter account the following Tuesday, and it is brilliant:

She then noticed how good her driver's voice was:

She was not disappointed when she and her friends got into the car:

Then comes the journey leg of the story:

But she needs a way to be able to speak to him again after the fare is finished, so she hatches a cunning plan...

She is now in the party...

But things are not going to plan...

The next day (Sunday)...

Then on Monday...

Tuesday starts out full of hope and promise...

She gets by with a little help from her friends...

It wasn't the alcohol making him look better than he actually was...

A happy ending, yes?... No.

But even though she did not get the result she wanted, she was happy she took the chance. She told Indy100:

"A lot of my friends have always enjoyed my stories because I often unintentionally find myself in messy situations that translate into great stories - so for people that know me outside of Twitter, this is nothing new.
"Even though the results weren't that great, this whole story was big for me, because it was one of the first times I've actually stepped out of my comfort zone and put myself out there, and I'm proud that I did it. And while it hasn't completely put me off taking the initiative when it comes to guys, I'm definitely taking a little break from it. I can only be rejected so many times in a short time span."

Hang in there, Kelli. You are hilarious, you'll find someone soon.
