Students miss exams because of Glastonbury traffic chaos
Students studying at Stode College,in Somerset weren’t able to get to their A-Level exams this morning because of the crazy traffic jams thanks to people trying to get to Glastonbury festival.
A statement from the school said:
‘This is an unprecedented situation and we have been working with exam boards and students since this morning when we first became aware of problems with transport. Clearly it’s horrible for the small number of students affected. We will continue to work with the exam boards to ensure that these students are not disadvantaged and that they get fair treatment.’
Glastonbury festival-goers have been stuck in queues of up to 12 hours as traffic chaos hit all major routes to the site. Organisers said rain and ground conditions had caused delays as more than 100,000 people descend on Worthy Farm in Somerset.
Well, let’s hope the hours stuck in traffic meant they could get a bit more revision in.
