UPDATE: Prue Leith just accidentally tweeted the winner of The Great British Bake Off
Mary Berry's mixed-review replacement, Prue Leith, has accidentally tweeted the winner of this year's Great British Bake Off ahead of tonight's final in a monumental cock-up.
In a horrific social media faux pas, Twitter rumours began circulating that Prue tweeted a congratulatory note to the winner, only to delete it within seconds.
Screenshots began to circulate that Prue tweeted the following:
'No one told me judging a #gbbo final would be so emotional," she wrote. "I wanted them all to win. Bravo *WINNERS NAME*.
The tweet was quickly removed, but not quick enough that the watchful eyes of Twitter missed it.
Let's just say, Twitter is having an absolute field day with it:

Ah Prue, it was only a matter of time until you crumbled.
You know what they say, if you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen (tent).
Prue Leith has since tweeted an apology for her blunder:
I am so sorry to the fans of the show for my mistake this morning, I am in a different time zone and mortified by my error #GBBO.— Prue Leith (@PrueLeith) October 31, 2017
