McVities admit that the chocolate is actually on the bottom of their biscuits
You may not have heard this long-held fan theory that McVities Hobnobs actually have their chocolate on the bottom, and the biscuity bit is on top.
It has been debated endlessly online and wherever biscuits are eaten for decades.
But now McVities have cleared things up, by confirming that yes - the biscuit bit is actually the top of the hobnob, and the chocolate is on the bottom. You've been eating them upside-down all your life.
Chocolate Hobnobs, the correct way up.
Keely Marie Perryman, a concerned hobnob fan, got in touch with McVities on their Facebook page, to settle a raging row they'd been having at work.
The debate started raging, as ever.
McVities, who must have seen this debate a thousand times, finally decided to settle it once and for all.
Which crushed a lot of people.
Metro have since contacted McVities for clarification and confirmation. Here's what they said
When we make our McVitie’s chocolate biscuits – whether that be Chocolate Hobnobs, Chocolate Digestives, or even Jaffa Cakes – they go through a reservoir of chocolate on the production line.
This essentially “enrobes” the bottom in chocolate – so we can confirm that the chocolate is officially on the bottom of the biscuits.
So there you have it. You've been eating them upside-down your whole live, you absolute hobnob.
