Man gets trapped beneath his six-ton porn collection, found six months later

A man who owned six tonnes of pornography died when his magazine collection fell on top of him.

The 50-year-old man got buried under the pile of porn over six months before he was found in his flat. His body was only discovered when his landlord came around to find out why his rent had not been paid.

Cause of death unknown

It's not known whether the man, from Japan, was killed by a heart attack and then stumbled into the pile of magazines, or whether he had been crushed by the pile of magazines and then died under their weight.

According to the cleaner, even if he was still conscious Joji's cries would have been muffled by the magazines.

The cleaning team says their company had been hired to discretely remove the magazines, so that his neighbours and his family would be spared the shame.

When the cleaners entered the property, they found that all available space within the property had been filled with piles of magazines, including all table space and shelves.

There were also clippings from erotic magazines, where the man had cut out his favourite articles and pictures, and then thrown out the rest of the magazine he didn't want.

Despite his diligent efforts to throw away the parts of the magazines he wasn't interested in, however, the pornography still weighed 6 tonnes - which is roughly a tenth the weight of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
