This man received a huge gift from John Lewis, because they make his life a living hell
There have been many unfortunate names in existence, mostly because they are rude, but also if you have the same name as a famous figure, it can cause all sorts of problems.
You may remember earlier this year, when the new Top Gear aired, people took to twitter to tell Chris Evans what a horrible job he did. But a lot of those tweets actually went to the Chris Evans who plays Captain America in the Marvel Universe.
Well, the same sort of thing has happened again.
A man from Blacksburg, Virginia has been sent a gift by supermarket chain John Lewis, for the huge inconvenience forced upon him every year.
The professor, also named John Lewis, has the twitter handle @johnlewis and is bombarded with tweets every year when the Christmas ad is released.
The father of four has written in his bio on his twitter page "Computer science educator, father of four, social liberal, atheist, and not a retail store."
He joined twitter in November 2007, two and a half years before the retail giant, so they have had to settle with the handle '@johnlewisretail'.
But now, because of his patience and efforts, Mr Lewis has been sent a personalised cushion, quoting his bio, as well as stuffed versions of this year's characters: Buster, Sid and Olivia.
The pack also included ornaments, crackers and wrapping paper.
Nice move by the store, and it just shows that patience does sometimes come good. But at least he has a sense of humour about it:
I wouldn't either. https://t.co/5WTVy02gAu— John Lewis (@johnlewis) November 16, 2016
