The ultimate guide to scoring FREE burgers

There's nothing better than a burger, and if that burger hasn't cost you anything, it tastes even more delicious! Everyone loves a burger, whether it's 99p McDonalds cheeseburger, or a fancy AF one with a giant deep friend mac and cheese ball on top. However, burgers can be pretty pricey and its not something we can afford to treat ourselves to as often as we want to.

So we thought we'd create a guide with some tips and tricks letting you know how to grab yourself a free burger - so take notes.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen

Gourmet Burger Kitchen do amazing burgers, but they can be quite expensive. If you download their app and enter the code Immc5 you instantly get a free side and free baconnaise sauce. They also give you rewards on the app randomly, with an occasional free burger or side.

GBK run extra deals for loyal customers and you can earn free burgers or free milkshakes as a reward for your visiting lots of time. I definitely recommend downloading the app and just checking your rewards page and the challenges page to see what you can get. If you share your code and get friends to sign up you can get many more free perks, including free sides!

McDonalds

If you're a student you know there are many benefits of having a student card, a cheeky 10% off here and these is all well and good, but it's nothing compared to the sweet, sweet McDonalds burger deal.

To get this offer just order an Extra Value Meal and flash them your student card or Unidays app. You can get a cheeseburger, hamburger or McFlurry. See more information about it here.

McDonalds also do their famous McDonalds Monopoly for a few months a year, every year! They give out Monopoly stickers with your food, these stickers usually have free food on them including free burgers! Be sure to keep an eye out for McDonalds Monopoly!

Handmade Burger Co

By signing up the Handmade Burger Co's newsletter you will receive their exclusive member offers every week via email. They usually will have a freebie each month, sometimes its a free drink or plate of chips, however they also do give away free burgers. Make sure the check your emails regularly so you don't miss out.

The Handmade Burger Company also offer a loyalty card, so every time you go you can get your card stamped and on your 3rd, 6th and 10th stamp you will get a part of your meal free.

Deliveroo

The Deliveroo app is always good to have on your phone, they deliver food from burger restaurants such as Honest Burgers and Patty & Bun, you can find other restaurants they deliver from here. Their rewards scheme changes a lot ranging from £2.50 free credit to £10. To start off with some free credit use this link to download the app: https://roo.it/felicityj6937.

Once you have the app download start referring friends, once they download the app with your code you instantly get credit. The more friends you refer the more credit you get (as long as your friend makes their first order). The extra perk is you can choose whichever burger restaurant you spend your free credit on.

UberEats

Uber has recently got into the food delivery industry launching the app UberEats, they have currently launched exclusively in Birmingham, London and Manchester but are expending very quickly. They deliver food from different burger restaurants such as The Posh Burger and TGI Fridays, you can see their full list here, make sure to pick your location.

Once you download the app, go to the PROMOTIONS section and enter the code eats-felicityj10 you will then be given £10 FREE credit to spend on any burger or food you like. Then share your own code with your friends, once they use your code, you will get £10 free credit.

Byron

Byron burgers are yum, but they are even better when they are FREE. To get a free burger you just need to create an account here, and keep an eye on your emails as they often run free burger promotions. When they run a free burger promotion, they will email you a date when they will be releasing tickets and all you need to do is claim one, and go down to your local Byron restaurant and enjoy your free burger!

Mystery Dining

So you may have heard of mystery shopping, well there's also mystery dining! This is where you sign up through one of the websites listed in our mystery shopping guide, then you get paid (and reimbursed) to go to a restaurant and have a meal. The whole point is that it's a "mystery" so you have to pretend to just be a normal customer, while you keep a close eye on the service, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality of the food. Sites often have restaurants as big as Five Guys available as well as lots of local pubs. You usually get to choose whatever meal you want, so burger fans - you're in luck.

The one downside of mystery dining is that you have to pay up front and you will be reimbursed most of the money back after. Always have a look at the menu in advance, and compare that to what you're able to get reimbursed/paid for your visit to make sure it's worthwhile.
