Here's how students are reacting to the general election
Students are known for their love of politics. But yesterday Theresa May announced that we're having an election smack bang in the middle of exam season, and they're less than happy about it, and most think it should count as extenuating circumstances.
Here's precisely how unhappy about it they are:
yeah thanks theresa got a week with 2 exams and you have to go stick a fucking election in it

it's exam season we do not need the added stress of a general election fuck theresa may fuck the tories and fuck exams

ok but does a general election count as extenuating circumstances for my exams

I could really do with not being distracted from my exams by a General Election

i literally cannot deal with another election i have exams to take i can't be checking polls constantly

Would have appreciated if Theresa May had waited until my final year exams were done before calling an election...

its proper peak the election is during uni exams, may as well just do a postal vote so i dont have to worry.

can students put down the stress caused by the snap election as extenuating circumstances in our upcoming exams please

WHY HAVE AN ELECTION IN THE MIDDLE IF EXAMS
— Arran (@Arran_Rangi) April 18, 2017
Some people are straight-up calling it a conspiracy...
The cold cynicism of calling an election for June when low turnout/young people having exams will work most egregiously in Tories' favour
— Jai (@j__a__i) April 18, 2017
Timing of election makes it hard for 18 year olds doing A Levels, Uni students doing exams/Finals to vote - let alone campaign & engage
— Peter Frankopan (@peterfrankopan) April 18, 2017
Which it probably is. Register to vote here, and vote by post if it clashes with an exam / revision.Interesting Theresa May has called an election midway through A Level and Degree exams to lower young turnout 🐍🐍#GeneralElection

Register to vote & change the game. 12M people didn't vote. Bigger than any party majority. Young people we need u. https://t.co/xFBU54SvTK pic.twitter.com/Etytz7Q5X9
