Discounts you can get if you've got the balls
You ever heard of a "good guy discount"? Not many people have, but you can get some fairly decent discounts if you only have the balls (or raw nerve, if you prefer) to ask for them.
A good guy discount is simple. You go into a store, any store, and as you pay say "hey, could I get a good guy discount?". When the cashier asks what a "good guy discount is" you just reply "I'm a good guy, you're a good guy. Can I get a good guy discount?"
It's not a secret code or even a real discount, but you can use it to get money off your purchase around 30% of the time according to NPR, who sent a journalist to test the "good guy" method. There are a lot of places you can get a discount if you just ask for it.
