25p for oysters at Morrisons
Do you dream of wearing tuxes and diamonds while shovelling oysters into your mouth with Champagne, but are stuck with fish fingers and Fanta? Yeah, us too..
Well guess what?! Morrison’s is selling oysters for 25p each, which is the lowest retail price in the UK for 25 years (they are £5 each in Harrods!).
Morrison’s will be stocking live Pacific Oysters, which are cultivated on the West Coast of Scotland and Ireland, with each one weighing approximately 60g. You’ve got till Valentine’s day to pick them up.
Latest research shows that 59% of Brits have never tried one because of the price, or because they don’t know how to eat them, so here’s your chance!
Adam Cotton, Seafood Buyer for Morrisons (what a job eh?!) said: “We want to make oysters affordable enough for anyone to try them and they now cost little more than a fish finger. Our fishmongers are ready to help customers who are worried about how to serve and eat them.”
We suggest, just shove them down at that price. Now… how to get 25p Champagne...
