Student who lives with smokers creates bizarre contraption, to get clean air for a change

A student who lives in a house full of smokers has taken drastic measures to live a smoke-free existence.

Rather than talk to his friends and establishing an "outside only" smoker rule, this 26-year-old Chinese student decided to build contraption out of bin bags and a cardboard helmet in order to be able to breathe clean air.

Weibo user Shandianzhililiang (clearly an engineer) posted the designs for his device on Weibo.

The plans looked like this...

Not sure what they're building? Maybe this will clear it up...

Nope? Try this...

Or in its full glory...

Yep, rather than having a housemate meeting to discuss the smoking situation, the student put a box on his head, attached that box to a tube made of bin bags, and attached that bin bag to a window.

Now, whenever the others are smoking, this student (from Nanning in southern China) merely jams his head in his box and enjoys some fresh air from outside, without needing to move away from his computer.

Bliss.
