England might get a new national anthem - vote for your favourite

MPs are debating today whether England should be given its own national anthem, rather than using the British anthem “God Save the Queen”.

Labour MP Toby Perkins argues that “Jerusalem” is a better choice for England fans to sing during sporting events, rather than the British "God Save the Queen".

He has called for a public consultation so that people can decide which song is best for England.

The MP has also suggested “Land of Hope and Glory”, “I Vow To Thee My Country”, and “There’ll Always Be an England” as other potential national songs. What do you think the national anthem for England should be? Vote below...
